Hour and weather
Set an hour and a sky the dialogue tests. The clock shows what those two change.
Choose an hour and a weather state. The clock names the phase that hour falls in, shows which doors are open, and keeps a line whose other conditions it cannot read with the other conditions.

- 04:00

- Dusk

- Night

When does the day change?
Dawn, Day, Dusk and Night are the phases the clock names. Moving the hour across a boundary changes which phase a line is testing. It does not advance the story by itself.
When is a door open?
A door is open from its opening time until its closing time. When the closing time is earlier than the opening time, the door stays open through midnight.
The example shows one door open within a single day and one door open through midnight. The hours are the hours on the place. Story progress can still keep a door shut.
What stays uncertain?
Weather tests use the sky states that appear on real lines. A line whose remaining condition cannot be read stays with the other conditions.
Thoughts that share one resurface window and one dissonance window show those durations on the clock. They measure play time. The rest of that trade is Conditioning economy.
