Active check odds
The bench compares ordinary active rolls. A scripted result can still override the dice.
An ordinary active check rolls two six-sided dice. Advantage rolls three and keeps the two highest. Disadvantage keeps the two lowest. A total of 2 fails critically and a total of 12 succeeds critically, before the difficulty comparison. Passive lines use the unread comparison instead of this roll.

What total do I still need?
Take the difficulty, subtract the skill you are rolling with, and subtract the check's own modifier. The total you still need stays between 3 and 12. The sum of the kept dice has to reach it, unless the roll was already a critical failure or a critical success.
The example counts the outcomes that reach a required total of 7. The counts are the curves on the odds bench.
How do I read one check?
The Coordination example is a red check. Its difficulty is the one on the card. Put your skill and any modifier the card already names into the same subtraction.
What does exerting change?
Exerting is the advantage roll: the third die, keeping the two highest. A white check can also carry a bonus for holding back. Open Pressures for that trade.
The amount of pressure exerting spends is not stated on the check. A cost you type on the bench is a scenario, so you can compare one spend with another. Scripted success and scripted failure override the roll. The one-die table is a reference beside the active roll.
