The defining piece of a carabinero's ensemble. The design was supposedly approved by Sweet Nestor -- a theory that hangs on the crescent moon imagery, which featured in his campaigns.

The young man leans back, his gaze slowly tracing you. Both of his eyes drift outward, as if pulled by different horizons."Baby, these return visits make me think we should be exclusive.""Hold up, hold up. Before you say a word -- I didn't have anything to do with it. Man needs a fair trial before punishment.""Where'd you get a carabinero cloak, miss? You shouldn't be wearing that, could cause confusion.""You're back again?""Right, of course." Her eyes rove over your bootleg uniform."What are you, the canal carabinero?" He looks at the cloak you're wearing with concern."What are you, the canal carabinero?" He looks at the uniform you're wearing with concern."And let people think the carabineros are taking over my sensitive operation?" He tilts his head from side to side."Please, now's no time to go around playing carabinero." He waves the orange slip. "An eviction notice. We got squatters in the Palace of Culture.""Wallah, this must be a joke, investigador." Goat Eyes tilts his eye to the side, studying you from head to toe."You would know. Unless you are actually a carabinero.""The carabinero look." He purses his lips. "I've always found the cape exquisite. The rest is adequate. Sharp garments wasted on our city's lowest ambitions.""Foreign woman. Mircean accent. Impersonating a carabinero herself. Sound familiar?"
