Two spies make contact and only one walks away. Even though PSEUDOPOD still technically breathes...

Medium

Did PSEUDOPOD defect to EMTERR... for a disc?

Medium

Something's not adding up here.

Medium

A bartender spy -- the perfect position to watch and ask questions. Her cover must be deep.

Medium

She is monitoring the situation around her as any operant would do... luckily, she's less experienced than you.

Medium

It all clicks together. Ignatz has been playing the long game ever since he first saw you. Maybe he's been playing the game since the moment of his birth.

Medium

Here you are, on an almost insultingly basic surveillance assignment.

Medium

Doesn't bode well for the whole... secret assignment thing. Haha!

Medium

Medium

The Weeping Eye have defeated her without even laying a finger on her.

Medium

Broken before they even touched her! Ahaha, nice.

Medium

You'll be nothing but an unmarked star in the Palace of Culture.

Medium

Your controller's name... No... Ahahah...

Medium

An Advanced Conjugal Manoeuvre. You have no counterattack.

Medium

Time for last illusions.

Medium

Operant KALEIDSCOPE: LOST.

Medium

Asset YO-YO: LOST.

Medium

Asset YOUNGBLOOD: LOST.

Medium

Asset: LOST. Cryptonym yet to be assigned.

Medium

There is no way this menace should know your terms of art. Something is very wrong here.

Medium

That part at least is not wholly off-base.

Medium

Whatever it is you hoped to achieve with this wholly optional diversion, you've achieved it. Time to go.

Medium

This message is no courtesy. It's a debt slip.

Medium

Zero yourself out as soon as possible. You are high up -- defenestration is viable.

Medium

Solid stagecraft. Very results-oriented. This goon knows of what he speaks.

Medium

Here it is, laid out: the logic of the ritual sacrifice.

Medium

Point to the Opera.

Medium

You have miscast your company. You were all amateurs, unfit for your roles, and for this stage.

Medium

A trick, left unmastered.

Medium

Still a strong trade. Absolutely worth it.

Medium

Orlavin-3. Terribly effective for interrogations and 'shock pacification'.

Medium

This is the only way through. Darkness visible.

Medium

From day-player bootlegger to directing the full production in five years. Quite the ascent for an exposed asset.

Medium

Why couldn't PSEUDOPOD get past this man?

Medium

Many old assets cry 'urgent' -- especially when they're looking for a handout or a favour.

Medium

Better to know. Always better to know.

Medium

Everyone swears silence until it can buy them something.

Medium

Interesting theory. A popstar of that magnitude is a powerful piece on the board.

Medium

She can't know how many masks you've worn over the years. How you switched them so quickly and effortlessly that you soon forgot your own face.

Medium

Medium

Given your assignment... she's not far off.

Medium

Relieve the pensioner of his plastic propaganda.

Medium

A board of wood and chalk, a too-small iron chair. On the blackboard: SAFEHOUSE BASICS. 1 - There are two types of safehouse, defensive and offensive...

Medium

Survivors of Weeping Eye interrogations have reported enduring sensations of despair, self-loathing, and phantom pain in limbs they never had.

Medium

She gave information to the Weeping Eye. Make her show you the dream so you can find out what.

Medium

A point of contention between them, good. Drive the wedge, bring her back to you...

Medium

Pointless theatrics only get you remembered. Real professionals wear faces.

Medium

There is no need of 'I', only a dumb hand unwise to its purpose.

Medium

Personnel assignments by day, disposal of off-the-record holdings by night.

Medium

On the north wall of the Novessa Palace of Culture. The only memorial departed servants of the Operant Bureau ever receive.
