The soundscape write-up

The audio department describes itself as four sound designers working together for about two years, for whom this was the first chance to define how the team tells a story through sound. Music and sound design are treated as one language rather than two departments.

The write-up splits play into two states. In exploration the soundscape stays atmospheric and restrained so the city and its people hold the foreground. In the scripted set pieces, among them the escape through Bootleg Bazaar, the mix turns dynamic and diegetic sound and foley move to the front.
