Wolf cups

Six wolf cups make up the set the journal calls the Redemption Arc. Each is picked up or handed over in one conversation, and one of them can only come last.

Collect Them All is completed by the Shrine Maiden once you hold all six cups at the same time. She hands over Tyrant Wolf Cup only after you have tidied the Derelict Shrine and spoken with your Cupbearer on the tram, so that cup comes last. A cup leaves your inventory in one way: you melt it for the gun you build (Now, for the plastic... (Pick an item to melt.)).

The shelf check at the silo

In the Pitol Tract silo, with the Flashlight equipped, ask What's that strange thing on the top shelf? and then choose Take the wolf cup. for Stubborn Wolf Cup. That option asks only that you have noticed the cup. Hotwire the shelves. sets nothing the option reads, so passing or failing the check does not cost you the cup.

The cup on the newspapers

Pascal, Eszti's Husband keeps Placid Wolf Cup. Take the cup. works only once you have passed his white check Relieve the pensioner of his plastic propaganda.. Before that he stops you ("Hey, my cup!"), and the next attempt ends at "Hershel. Stop.". The white check does not depend on the attempt.

The gift task

PIGEON gives you Critical Wolf Cup when you agree to deliver A Gift For Duchess, and also when you only pretend to ("Alright, PIGEON. Sure, I'll take your gift to Duchess' kids." (Pretend to accept.)). Turning him down first does not lose the cup: you can still answer "If you still want me to give Duchess that gift for you, PIGEON, I'll do it." (Accept task.).

The trade pile

While Collect Them All is open, choose Look for wolf cups. in the King of Trade conversation, then "King of Trade, I desire the wolf cup." and offer something he accepts. He hands over Dream Wolf Cup. Showing him another cup does not take that cup from you.

The container

Eager Wolf Cup sits in a container; Take the cup. takes it with no condition.

The last cup

Tyrant Wolf Cup belongs to the Shrine Maiden. She asks "Did you have a chance to tidy up Admiral Rigau's shrine?" only after you have met your Cupbearer on the tram, and gives the cup once the shrine is tidy (That's looking tidier. (Conclude.)). With all six in hand she completes the task: This is it. The last of the six Cardinal Wolves. You've collected them all.. A task still open later in the assignment is cancelled (Some paint-flecks of blood at the feet of the deathless heroes of techno-fascism are the only signs left of what did or…).

Melting a cup

The gun you can build needs one plastic item melted down. Every cup you carry is offered, and a melted cup leaves your inventory while the task needs all six in hand. The mould also takes Model Train 'Chrysanthemum Sorrow', Model Train Part, Fuckwand or Cosmonaut Figurine, and Wait, changed my mind! (Don't melt anything. Return to this step later.) puts the step off.

Redemption Arc and the achievement

The task's step calls the six cups the Wolves of the Redemption Arc. The Redemption achievement is a separate thing: it counts no cups, and its four conditions, listed below, are all set in the tram encounter.
