It's a common joke that the Opera have preemptively bugged all public phones to spare the Superbloc's citizens the awkwardness of uncertainty.

Medium

The club hates to see an operant abandoned on the pitch, deadly for morale.

Medium

An age old recruitment technique. Let those with a sufficiently 'international' perspective reveal themselves.

Easy

Whatever made this woman a plausible asset, it wasn't her knowledge of chemistry.

Challenging

Reports from Operant PROBABLE suggest that 'Proyecto PESCADERA' was aborted in early 78 after one of the study's dolphins developed a violent sexual obsession with his trainer and committed suicide by sinking to the bottom of his tank.

Easy

The existence of Satellite Facility B is closely held information. There's no way a special asset would know of its existence, unless...

Medium

Tape retains a lower profile, leaves no holes -- no evidence. Also, she won't hesitate to subtract the price of wall repairs from your stipend.

Trivial

Definitely snooping.

Easy

Medium

Another expense she can add to the Operant Bureau's running tab.

Challenging

There are no spies contained within this photo.

Easy

A stagehand, not even worth a cryptonym.

Easy

Your double's condition is of secondary importance.

Easy

There. Two lines of inquiry converge. Bring this purchase order to the Bazaar. That's your next stop.

Easy

There. You feel the baton hit your hand. This Bazaar is your next stop.

Easy

You have shit, in other words. Chicken bones.

Easy

Terrible stagecraft across the board. PSEUDOPOD should've caught this while examining the safehouse.

Medium

Something she should know better than to ask and you should know better than to tell.

Easy

Restless eyes, evasive demeanour. This man may not have zeroed out your double, but you're sure such things aren't beyond him.

Easy

Your controller was clear: She doesn't need to know anything beyond her station. Compartmentalise.

Medium

To assemble and guide the rest.

Medium

That's assuming it's a legitimate defection and not a double bluff from a vastly superior operant.

Easy

There will be no 'extraction'. Just a box of tools discarded at the worksite.

Medium

Even as you've been speaking your controller's silently been gaming out every possible manoeuvre. She knows what she's doing.

Medium

The sound of a coin purse jingling from behind the curtain... a single copper rolls onto the stage.

Medium

PROBABLE's service history is required reading for controllers. She's stalling you.

Medium

There is a zero percent possibility that PROBABLE, statistically the Opera's most valuable performer in 66, was here on babysitter duty.

Easy

PROBABLE was the Operant Bureau's most valuable performer in 66. His true assignment must have been a high-level hold.

Medium

'Null entities' are the lowest forms of matter in the Operant Bureau's extended cosmology. Reserved for traitors, falsifiers, and thieves.

Challenging

A matter of interest for the psychomancers, perhaps.

Medium

Just a little, for fun.

Trivial

Eliminated. Killed. Rendered inoperant.

Trivial

You already have your task. You need only commit to it.

Trivial

The ciphertext. You have the pieces, you just need to put them together.

Trivial

Something about the strange red disc nags at the edge of your consciousness. Perhaps the room contains other leads as well.

Trivial

That numberless phone line may be worth investigating. Perhaps the room contains other leads as well.

Trivial

The room remains to be searched. There may be leads to follow up on.

Trivial

Maybe it's worth taking another look at the cleaners' tuk-tuk.

Medium

There's a delicate balance to be maintained here.

Trivial

This must be Reno's place, the dolphin indicates as much.

Medium

When the things you're cleaning up after are especially sensitive in nature.

Easy

Why didn't everyone do that, then? This may well have been high-level psychogenic stagecraft.

Medium

A life sacrificed on the altar of her cover.

Trivial

The resident list you saw by the door may prove more revealing now.

Easy

A colossal operational fumble. There are about three people in this whole city who know her by her cryptonym, and only one who would leave this message.

Easy

Cryptonym on full display on a public noticeboard. Bravo, operant. Potentially a match-ending 'own goal'.

Medium

Operant status: ready to shuffle your way back into cold storage.

Easy

You should return to the surface, operant. You have questions that need answering.

Medium

You have been too public in who you talk to about an artefact that effectively zeroed out a fellow Operant, even if it has been rendered useless.
