Home Stereo System

As you turn away, a phone begins to ring.

Something about the strange red disc nags at the edge of your consciousness. Perhaps the room contains other leads as well.

The room remains to be searched. There may be leads to follow up on.

Still nothing but the underlying creep of static.

The blasted heath welcomes you back. The robed figures stagger around a smouldering circle.

The silence envelops you like a translucent skin. You feel yourself becoming an embryo of a distant, post-sonic future.

The static quiets as you reset the volume.

The stereo is right where you left it.

There is no sound. Shadows bleed from every corner.

Wait, was that -- no. You must've been imagining it.

You feel like there's something very important that you've forgotten about...

You remove the red disc and return it to your pocket.

You step away from the equipment.

Crucially, such a process would result in an empty disc... like the one you found on PSEUDOPOD's body.
