You approach the open shelving unit once more.
What's here?
This shelf is thick with nearly identical records -- special plastic binders, meant to contain paper records and disc-based media.
Look for Hauzmann's reference ID.
Your fingers race across the files, already expert at this.
You take a mustard yellow record from the shelves. The reference ID 'HKT-04/17-E' looks back at you. Inside, you find a single sheet of paper is neatly folded and affixed to the disc with a rubber band.
I didn't really think it would be here.
And yet the old spy's words were true.
Remove the sheet and read it.
The rubber band is brittle and dry, it practically dissolves as you pull the paper free.
The text reads 'SUMMARY OF CONTENTS -- Transmissions from Satellite AUTONOMÍA. 16 DEKATOS 77.
Under 'ADDITIONAL COMMENTS', someone has added: 'All contact ceased 17 DEK. Crew presumed lost. Refer enquiries to █████ ██████'.

So the trail ends here.
Examine the disc.
Its casing is yellow, the disc inside nearly white. It's not like any other you've encountered.
TechnoflexDC 10
This is a Umatic. While the form-factor's the same as any modern disc, the encoding method is entirely different.
ShadowplayDC 9
Your part in this 'exchange' is done. The null entity had better have come through.
NerveDC 9
It'll be a relief to get out of this place.
You put the disc away. You have what you came for.
I'll come back to this later. [Leave]
The shelf resumes its silent vigil.

You approach the open shelving units. Newly disturbed dust hangs in the air.
